At this moment we're looking for people who are based in (or planning to relocate to) the Netherlands.
You are passionate about Community Management and you understand that co-op games aren’t just about mechanics, they’re about people playing together & social bonding. You’re someone who knows how to grow communities without losing their soul, and how to turn shared player moments into meaningful marketing. The Community Manager owns the player experience outside the game, before, during, and after a release. We position this role as a continuous release-cycle role.
The role focuses on guiding the player journey outside the game: from first interest to recurring play habits. A few examples of responsibilities during each of the development cycles:
  • Before Release Engagement:Organizing community playtests, managing the Discord server, facilitating Q&A’s etc.
  • During Release Activation: Organizing Launch events, helping new players onboard, facilitating communication between players and the dev team, maintaining clarity and peace during issues or high traffic.
  • After Release Retention & Growth: Share player moments, clips, memes, and inside jokes. Organize community challenges and recurring activities. Continuously feed designers and producers with player insights.
You:
  • Represent the player within the team
  • Represent the team to the player
  • Cycle feedback back into development process
  • Translate design decisions into understandable communication
The success of the role is not measured only in reach, but in:
  • Returning players
  • A positive community atmosphere
  • Players bringing in other players
  • Players feeling they belong to the game

  • Comfortable switching between strategy and hands-on execution
  • Experience with Discord, social media tools and analytics platforms
  • Empathetic, curious, and tuned in to what players care about
Bonus skills & experience
  • Experience with influencer / creator campaigns
  • Experience with community-driven development and playtesting
  • Knowledge of live ops and player retention strategies
  • Experience in indie or AA studios
  • Love for Co-op games and social experiences
