About the job
You and your team play a central role in the development of the game by conceptualizing, prototyping, iterating and finalizing the game design, while including the team in the process. You document, maintain and communicate the game’s vision and design, best practices and workflows. You take an active role in the team’s growth and development, including giving regular feedback and setting goals.

Skill requirements

  • 3+ years mentoring/coaching other designers
  • 3+ full game development cycles
  • In-depth knowledge of working with one or more game engines (Unity preferred)
  • Ability to communicate concepts/direction/manage expectations with stakeholders
  • Solid overview of the gaming landscape, across hardware, genres, monetization models etc.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of game design, like game mechanics, level design, progression
  • Understanding of player motivation and psychology

You are passionate about Community Management and you understand that co-op games aren’t just about mechanics, they’re about people playing together & social bonding. You’re someone who knows how to grow communities without losing their soul, and how to turn shared player moments into meaningful marketing. The Community Manager owns the player experience outside the game, before, during, and after a release. We position this role as a continuous release-cycle role.
The role focuses on guiding the player journey outside the game: from first interest to recurring play habits. A few examples of responsibilities during each of the development cycles:
  • Before Release Engagement:Organizing community playtests, managing the Discord server, facilitating Q&A’s etc.
  • During Release Activation: Organizing Launch events, helping new players onboard, facilitating communication between players and the dev team, maintaining clarity and peace during issues or high traffic.
  • After Release Retention & Growth: Share player moments, clips, memes, and inside jokes. Organize community challenges and recurring activities. Continuously feed designers and producers with player insights.

  • Cycle feedback back into development process
  • Translate design decisions into understandable communication

We're not actively looking for another Game Artist, but feel free to send your information.

You are a passionate and experienced Senior Game Artist with at least 4+ years in the gaming industry, or having successfully contributed to 3+ completed commercial game development cycles. You have hands-on professional experience with Blender and Unity (minimum 1 year in a production environment) and are highly proficient in Photoshop, Substance Painter and Substance Designer.

With a broad and versatile skillset, you are confident in modeling, texturing, VFX and UI art. You have a strong understanding of visual design principles such as composition, color theory, lighting and cohesive design language. You are comfortable creating low-spec, optimized assets and understand how to balance visual quality with technical performance across a variety of platforms.

Beyond your artistic expertise, you are a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset. You have experience mentoring and coaching other artists, helping to elevate quality standards while maintaining a productive and efficient art pipeline. You welcome feedback and are able to thoughtfully incorporate it into your work, always striving to improve both your craft and the team’s overall output.

  • Create and implement high-quality 3D models, textures, materials and VFX using Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop and Substance Designer

  • Maintain artistic consistency and direction by working closely with a Lead Artist/Art Director
